From Cyber Leadership in Texas to CyberX’s Pioneering Role: How Arab Companies Are Taking Initiative to Protect the Digital Space

In a move reflecting the rising global #cyber_threats, the U.S. state of Texas announced the establishment of the Texas Cybersecurity Command, a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the protection of government digital infrastructure and enhancing cyber incident response capabilities.

The initial cost of the project is estimated at over $135 million by 2027, according to an article in Express News. The initiative includes control centers, digital laboratories, a threat intelligence analysis unit, and relies on a close partnership with the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).

While this step appears advanced, it highlights a similar need in the Arab world, where both government and private institutions face increasing waves of #digital_attacks, yet lack local specialized cybersecurity entities comparable to the U.S. model.

Amid this gap, pioneering initiatives led by Arab tech companies are emerging, demonstrating equal awareness and commitment. Leading the way is #CyberX, which since its inception has maintained a clear mission: to enhance #cybersecurity in the Arab world through awareness, training, and smart technologies.

For #CyberX, #cybersecurity is more than a technical service; it is a culture cultivated within the #digital_community. This is achieved through education and awareness campaigns such as “Don’t Ask Too Late, Security Matters,” “I Have Nothing to Hide,” and “Turn Off to Turn On Safety”, among many others.

In addition to awareness, #CyberX invests in innovation and advanced technologies. The company goes beyond traditional solutions, focusing on smart technologies such as #artificial_intelligence and data analytics to proactively manage threats. It also collaborates with academic experts to develop innovative cybersecurity solutions, signing cooperation agreements with research and academic institutions.

As part of its expansion strategy, CyberX’s efforts are not limited to the Saudi market; it seeks to extend its presence across the Arab region. The company also partners strategically with international organizations to strengthen capabilities against global #cyber_threats.

Alongside its media presence—organizing dialogue sessions that bring together the private sector and #cybersecurity experts and providing specialized high-quality contentو #CyberX has successfully bridged a noticeable gap in the Arab digital landscape. This solidifies its position as a pioneering model for what can be called “cyber leadership” in the Arab context.

While Texas recognized the necessity of an independent state-level cyber infrastructure, the Arab environment is equally in need, particularly with rapid digitalization and the increasing targeting of critical infrastructure.

The difference, however, is that #CyberX emerged as a proactive private initiative. While some projects remained in formal planning stages, CyberX started as a private entity, betting on competence and vision, demonstrating that Arab companies are capable of leading the #cyber_space with professionalism and independence.

As some states begin building their cyber infrastructure from scratch, #CyberX has been present from the start, establishing, initiating, and leading.

From Riyadh to Texas, the story brings us back to the Arab world, with a clear invitation to look inward and learn from local initiatives, just as we draw lessons from global experiences.
