The first course in the Data-center curriculum introduces the Designs, models, protocols, and networking elements that connect Servers, Storage, applications and data through the DC on premises room – including Ethernet and FC Technologies.
Before Attending the Course, Students need to be familiar with basics which normally covered in Network Foundation Courses as below :
1- Network Fundamentals (OSI Model, TCP/IP Stack)
2- Campus Network Devices (Routers, Switches)
3- Switching Technologies & Ethernet Protocols (VLANs, STP, LACP, VSS)
4- Routing Technologies (Static, Dynamic Routing)
After Attending the Course, Students can Design and Manage simple Data center Topology, that integrate IP addressing schemes, foundational network security, and perform basic configurations for Cisco SAN Switches, and Cisco Servers with VMware ESXi and vSwitches.
